![]() ![]() Long Island City, New York I was born in Modesto, California and I grew up in a family of extremely motivated and creative people. My Mom, Yvonne Porcella, is a textile artist with an international art career and art in the Smithsonian Museum’s permanent collection. While studying art and psychology at the University of California at San Diego, I co-founded Artists in Motion Art Collective - a group of artists who created paintings, sculpture, fashion and music. After graduating from UCSD, I returned to Northern California where I graduated from California College of Arts and Crafts, with a BFA in Painting/Drawing. Right after graduation, I relocated to East Hampton New York to work as an artist assistant to David Salle and Miriam Schapiro. I recently graduated with Honors from Hunter College MFA Program in Painting and Sculpture. My artwork has been exhibited in New York City, Paris, France, London, England, East Hampton, NY, Portland, Oregon, Washington D.C. and San Francisco, California. Several prominent art collectors have recently purchased my artwork and I have been featured in several publications in the last year including The Daily Constitutional from Richmond, Virginia, Standard Magazine from Paris, France and Hunt and Gather from Perth, Australia and Picnic Magazine from Israel. In 2005, my first New York City Solo Show was favorably reviewed in the New York Times. And just last week, The Village Voice named a group show I am in at Mixed Greens Gallery, Best in Show!
